LÉOST ENDOWMENT FUND

TO OUR LEF SUPPORTERS
After seven years and more than $172,000 raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Patient Financial Assistance Program, I will be re-directing my energy and focus into new areas with the ACF that will benefit cancer patients and survivors more directly.
The LEF was created in 2004 to honour the memory of my wife Chantelle, who passed away at the age of 26 from a rare form of cancer. I will continue to honour her memory in this next chapter of my LEF life.
The annual Martinis& Masterpieces event has given me a great deal of personal pride and I have been able to meet some remarkable people; it gave me an annual re-affirmation of how lucky I am to have the friends and family that I do. I feel that now is the time to get involved with people face to face, to share my story and listen to theirs and hopefully help them during the difficult times of treatment and recovery.
The LEF lives on and will continue to accept donations so that we can help people in need. For those of you who have donated in the past, I encourage you to continue to do so.
Whether you were a friend of Chantelle’s, have been touched in some way by cancer, or just want to help someone in need, your donation goes a long way. Donations can be made through www.leostendowmentfund.com or through the Calgary Foundation at www.calgaryfoundation.org.
I would like to thank each of you for your incredible support over the years and I will continue to count on it in the future; know that you have made a difference in the lives of those battling cancer.
Best regards,
Marc Léost
